La La La Human Steps

New Creation is presented at the Canoe Festival by the Brian Webb Dance Company.

In New Creation Lock explores two tragic love stories, “Dido and Aeneas and Orpheus and Eurydice”. Inspired by baroque opera, Lock blends ballet technique with a contemporary aesthetic and original music to create a piece both feverish and lyrical.

Édouard Lock transformed Canadian modern dance and made it contemporary. And, now he has radicalized Canadian ballet and made it equally contemporary. New Work created by Lock and performed by his ensemble of magnificent dancers grabs each audience member and takes them on a wild journey.
