Workshop West Theatre’s cutting-edge contemporary theatre festival marks its fifth year with a program of risky, ground-breaking performances from Edmonton, Canada and around the world. Presenting challenging artists from New Zealand, Lebanon, Ontario, BC and Edmonton, the Canoe Theatre Festival delivers theatre rarely seen on local stages. Canoe 2012 will present five shows and Whitewater Theatre, a showcase of unique, innovative works-in-progress. New this year will be the Big Ideas Speaker series, presenting discussions and debates about comtemporary theatre practice in Canada.
