ACCESSIBILITY
Our move to 8529 Gateway Blvd has opened up a lot of our accessibility options, and we are working to improve our facilities as times goes on, and as we secure more granting and funding.
PARKING/DROP-OFF
We have paid parking next to our building. Our entrance is ground level, and enters on a slight ramp past two doors. We do not have automated doors on entry, but if you e-mail or contact us, we are available to provide assistance as requested.
PUBLIC TRANSIT
Our location is 8529 Gateway Blvd. Most public transit stops on Whyte Avenue on 102nd Street. From there, the theatre is located three blocks North down
Gateway Blvd.
If you are taking the LRT, you would get off at University Transit Station and then take one of the many buses down Whyte Avenue stopping at 102nd street. Then proceed North down Gateway Blvd for approximately 3 blocks until you arrive at our theatre.
SEATING
Our venue has access to accessible seating on the ground level of our theatre. There is a very small ramp leading from the lobby into the theatre. If you are looking to secure ground-level seating for a performance, please phone or e-mail us and we can reserve your seat.
WASHROOMS
We have gender neutral washrooms with each washroom having one larger stall for accessibility purposes. The navigation to the accessible washrooms is through doors off the lobby.
SCENTED PRODUCTS
The Gateway Theatre is a scent-free zone. Please refrain from using products such as perfume, cologne, and scented hair/body products when attending and before attending our events.
SERVICE ANIMALS
Are welcome at The Gateway Theatre. If you plan to attend with your service animal, please reach out to our box office.
