Boy Player (Preview)
Boy Player by Frank Moher
Moving, surprising, and often unexpectedly funny, Boy Player is the true story of what happened when Frank Moher was orphaned as a kid, and suddenly found himself transplanted from Edmonton, Alberta to New York City. It’s also about how finding your passion, or passions — in Frank’s case, theatre, and a young woman named Diana who had been through similar experiences as a child — can change and maybe save your life.
Filled with great musical theatre songs and sometimes deeply emotional, Boy Player will touch your heart, and lift it, too.

EDMONten (in Partnership with Alberta Playwrights’ Network)
Originally created and curated by Tracy Carroll, Conni Massing, and Michelle Vance Hehir, EDMONten is a play competition that invites Edmonton playwrights to submit their ten-minute creations. Over the past 3 years, there have been over 60 submissions, 15 of which have been given public readings. This year, with the support of the Edmonton Arts Council and in partnership with Alberta Playwrights’ Network, we are thrilled to present EDMONten at Springboards. These plays may be short, but they pack a punch!
