The Edmonton Playwrights’ Circle is a place for playwrights to gather, discuss, and focus on developing their craft.

Through group conversation, the sharing of work, and the occasional writing exercise, playwrights will be encouraged to take risks and continue their writing practice.

The sessions are free of charge and open to all playwrights at any level of experience. There is no expectation for playwrights to attend all of the sessions, this EPC is offered on a drop in basis.

Playwrights are invited to bring any writing they might like to hear read aloud by their peers in the group. The 2025/26 Edmonton Playwrights’ Circle will be co-presented by the University of Alberta Drama Department and led by Lee Playwright in Residence, Ron Jenkins.

DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON!
