David Madawo is a Vancouver based film, television, and theatre actor. He began acting at the age of 7, beginning his on camera acting training at an early age at Babyface Studios in Toronto, with formative early stage experiences in the Citadel Theatre’s Young Companies program and at Victoria School of the Arts.

Over the past 15 years, he has worked across film, television, and theatre in a range of independent and professional projects.

His screen work includes a guest starring role in Sight Unseen (CTV), along with independent films such as Spin the Wheel, A Most Redemptive Gift, Smile: It’s Only the End of the World, Black and Blue, Hot Box, and Awake. His theatre credits include Hyenas Trail (Hear for Fear Collective), Chanzo (Ready Go Theatre), Here There Be Night and E Day (Workshop West), Until the Next Breath (Catalyst Theatre), Balance Board (Workshop West), Shoreline (independent), and A Christmas Carol (Citadel Theatre).

David is drawn to emotionally grounded, character driven work and realism across both screen and stage, continuing to develop his practice in that direction. He is grateful to be performing in his hometown and to share the stage with the immensely talented Christina Nguyen and Sebastian Ley.
