Elyse Roszell is a playwright, circus artist, and Sterling Award nominated actor based in Amiskwacî-wâskahikan, colonially known as Edmonton. They hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Alberta. The Piano Lesson is Elyse’s second play; The Hand that Feeds (New Works 2023/Nextfest 2024) being their first. They intend to write many, many more! As an actor, Elyse’s select credits include: The Abandons (Netflix), The Jury Experience (Fever), Edmontask, The Picture of Elias Graham (Edmonton Fringe), Anne of Green Gables, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, The Melody Lingers On (NUOVA Vocal Arts), Everybody, Troilus and Cressida, Rough Magic (Studio Theatre), Tom at the Farm, Antigone, and Cymbeline (Bleviss-Laboratory Theatre).
