Billy Bishop Goes to War

Gerry Potter works as a writer, dramaturg, director, producer, and teacher in theatre and film. After an early career as a journalist and actor, he founded the multi-award-winning professional theatre Workshop West Playwrights' Theatre in 1978 and was Artistic Director there for 17 years. He's also served as Artistic Director of Fringe Theatre for Young People and was a founder and Artistic Director of both Tloo-Quah-Nah and Rising Sun Theatre. Gerry has made eight films, including the much-awarded documentary, IN SEARCH OF PROFESSOR PRECARIOUS. He taught drama, writing and film in Alberta universities for 27 years. He's a member of Edmonton’s Cultural Hall of Fame and a winner of the MZD Progressive Artist Award and the Sterling Award for Outstanding Contribution to Edmonton Theatre.
