LAUREN BOYD
WRITER/CREATOR/PERFORMER
Lauren Boyd (Writer/ Creator/ Performer) is returning to her home town of Edmonton after toiling away in Toronto for the past few years as a performer, writer and director. She is a graduate of Sheridan College’s Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance, where she had the opportunity to originate roles for new musicals by Morris Panych, Anika & Britta Johnson, Colleen Dauncey, Akiva Romer-Segal and Matthew Murray. Lauren is (unfortunately) really into sketch comedy, and has performed and trained through the Second City Conservatory Program in Toronto, Chicago’s Improv Olympic, and The Groundlings core program in Los Angeles. Lauren has co-written series optioned by Awen Entertainment & Northwood Entertainment, and was part of the writing team for Project Empathy at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center in Toronto, produced by Balmoral Productions.
