Workshop West’s flagship festival is back with a bang! After record-breaking attendance last year, we’re excited to welcome a whole new set of never-before-heard plays! This season, we’re highlighting scripts and playwrights from WWPT’s in-house programs! Join us April 20-24 for FIVE evenings of plays written by members of the Edmonton Playwrights’ Circle, the Indigenous Playwrights’ Circle, our Script Reading Service, and a special night dedicated to the young theatrical minds of tomorrow featuring works from our Writes of Passage in-school residency program! Written by the youth, and performed by professional actors, this evening will be a riot!
We are also thrilled to partner with the Alberta Playwrights’ Network to present EdmonTEN - again! Strap in for a snappy night of 10 minute plays from the winners of APN’s 10 minute playwriting competition. Who knows, you may be the first to see the first ten minutes of Edmonton’s next big thing!
