The Stage

Our flexible black box theatre is designed to transform to meet the needs of virtually any production. With seating for 94 to 108 guests, our custom 4×4 riser system can be configured in countless ways—from in-the-round, end-stage and thrust to alley or completely custom configurations. We even feature a striking 22′×14′ marquee arch that can frame the space to create a traditional proscenium setting.The space is equipped with brand-new lighting and sound consoles, new speakers, a cyclorama, and a brand-new technical booth designed and built by Art Lab Design Build. We’ve also upgraded the theatre’s electrical grid, thanks to Pillar Electric, significantly expanding our power capacity to support a wider range of productions and technical needs. Whether it’s an intimate play, a workshop, a musical, a concert or something completely new, The Gateway Theatre can be configured to bring your vision to life.
